The Valhalla typically handled transients better than the TSAR-1. I was able to more or less match the TSAR-1 sounds with the Valhalla, and in more than one instance the TSAR-1 was distorting when the Valhalla stayed crystal clear. ![]() I really like the layout of the TSAR-1, but in the end I still found Valhalla faster to dial in. The Valhalla has a bit more versatility offering more room sounds which is nice, but not a deal breaker for the TSAR-1 by any means. I wanted to love the TSAR-1, but I kept going back to the Valhalla. I'll just skip to the point: Valhalla Room wins! I've also been hearing good things about the Valhalla Room so I figured I might as well demo them both while I'm at it. ![]() with the current 50% off sale I thought I'd demo and pull the trigger if I liked it. Anyway, I've been wanting to add some new reverb for a while and have been eyeballing the TSAR-1. ![]() ![]() I've used them all this time not because they were amazing, but because they were reasonably priced at the time, they did what I needed, and I got used to them. I've had two go to reverbs for a LONG time: TL Space and CSR.
